SPEAKER INFORMATION

Here is some information to help you prepare for the upcoming CARA Conference:

  1. View the linked presentation for best practices on creating your presentation.
  2. Upon arrival at the Fredericton Convention Center, pick up your name badge and a speaker ribbon and confirm that your presentation has been received.
  3. Confirm your speaking day, time and room. Consider familiarizing yourself with the room prior to your presentation.
  4. You must bring your presentation with you on a USB Drive – presentations will NOT be preloaded onto laptops.
  5. Printing policy – the CARA conference is paperless. Should you have worksheets please ensure they are uploaded along with your presentation.
  6. Each room will be moderated. The moderator will introduce the speaker, help to facilitate Q&A and keep track of time.
  7. Presenters have access to the room 15 minutes prior to their session.
  8. A speaker ready room is available throughout the conference, it is unlocked and available for all speakers to use.

REGISTRATION:

All speakers must register for the conference. If you are only attending your session to present and will not be participating in the conference, please email barbara@strategicevents.ca. You will be required to pick up a badge prior to presenting.

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES:

  • March 28 – last day to submit headshots and biographies
  • March 28 - last day to add or change/panelists (any changes after this date will not be recognized in the programming, on the website, or mobile app).
  • May 1 – Registration Deadline
  • May 5 – Deadline to submit your presentation in a PDF Version

PRESENTATIONS

Presentations should be in PowerPoint or Keynote only. A PDF copy of your presentation must be uploaded using this link prior to your presentation.(Link to be provided as we are closer to conference).

Here is the conference templateto use. If you are using you own template ensure your cover and end slide reflect the conference template.

Please ensure that you bring your PowerPoint Presentation in a 16:9 ratio format on a USB Stick.

If you need assistance uploading your PDF Presentation, please email barbara@strategicevents.ca no later than May 5th.
